Visit the second factory of Shenlong to verify the birth of Dongfeng Peugeot 508

　　Before visiting the welding station, we can first see the module at the entrance and exit of the workshop. Through partial cutting, we can clearly see the body structure of the 508. Whether the thickness of the front and rear anti-collision steel beams is still thick or relatively thick, the interior of the door also has reinforced beam support and protection frame, indicating that the 508 has also made great efforts in the strength of the body, in order to create a safe and reliable car body.

　　The factory’s production automation rate has reached the domestic advanced level, and each manipulator on the workstation can skillfully and accurately grasp pieces of steel plate and weld them into body parts, accurate to 0.01mm welding points. At the same time, a large number of mechanical arms can save a lot of manual labor for staff. It is said that the annual maintenance and repair costs of these automated machines are also quite high, and they are supervised by specialized technicians.

　　In terms of quality inspection, Shenlong No. 2 Factory can be said to have made great efforts. Each process has set up quality inspection doors, and each stamped steel plate needs to go through welding quality inspection. At the same time, each steel plate is manually inspected to see if there are any unqualified parts such as bumps. If found, it will be repaired.

　　Before the painting operation, laser inspection of the body is also carried out. The fully automatic robotic arm will use laser measurement to detect the size and welding quality of the finished product, and the qualified product will enter the next step. Since Dongfeng has set up quality inspection doors throughout the production process, the probability of unqualified products is very small, there may be only one or two a month.

　　After the entire body is welded, it is transported to the paint shop for painting operations. After the painting process is completed, it will enter the quality inspection door with the assembly line to check whether the paint surface is qualified. After passing, it will enter the final assembly workshop for parts assembly. Since this visit is not scheduled to visit the painting workshop, we will come directly to the final assembly workshop.
